Russia: Flat Steel Exports Down 10% M-o-M in Jul’17

According to Russian customs data, flat steel exports which includes (7208 – HR coils/Plates,7209 – CR coils, 7210, 7212 GP/GC and 7225 electrical sheets) moved down by 10% in Jul’17 to 0.74 MnT in contrast to 0.82 MnT in Jun’17.

On yearly basis,Russia flat steel exports reported decline by 6.3% in Jul’17 against Jul’16. In Jul’16 country’s flat steel exports stood at 0.79 MnT.

During first seven months of CY17 (Jan-Jul’17), Russian flat steel exports summed up at 5.64 MnT, moved up by 6% against 5.33 MnT in the consecutive time-frame of CY16.

Turkey remained the most preferred destination for Russian Flat steel Exports-In Jul’17 Russia has exported 0.23 MnT flat steel to Turkey followed by 0.06 MnT to Belarus and 0.05 MnT to Egypt.

During the period of Jan-Jul’17, Russian has exported 5.64 MnT of flat steel, out of which Turkey has occupied highest share of 34.33% followed by Belarus (6.46%),Egypt (6%) and Iran at (4.52%).
