According to Russian customs data, flat steel exports which includes (7208 – HR coils/Plates,7209 – CR coils, 7210, 7212 GP/GC and 7225 electrical sheets) inched down by 10% M-o-M basis in Aug’17 to 0.67 MnT which was 0.74 MnT in Jul’17.
On yearly basis,Russia flat steel exports moved down drastically by 21% in Aug’17 against Aug’16. In previous year country’s flat steel exports stood at 0.85 MnT.
During first eight months of CY17 (Jan-Aug’17), Russian flat steel exports summed up at 6.31 MnT, slightly up by 2.1% against 6.18 MnT in the similar time-frame of CY16.

Turkey was the largest importer of flat steel from Russia in Aug’17-In Aug’17 Russia has exported 0.13 MnT flat steel to Turkey down by 43.4% to 0.23 MnT in Jul’17.Other major countries include Belarus 0.05 MnT and Egypt at 0.02 MnT.
During the tenure of Jan-Aug’17, Russia has exported 6.32 MnT of flat steel, out of which Turkey has occupied highest share of 32.78% followed by Belarus (6.62%),Egypt (6%) and Iran at (5.18%).
