As per Russian customs data, Russia’s flat steel which includes (7208 – HR coils/Plates,7209 – CR coils, 7210, 7212 GP/GC and 7225 electrical sheets) have increased considerably by 11% ,M-o-M to 0.70 MnT in Nov’16 against Oct’16. In Oct’16 the same stood at 0.63 MnT.
If Y-o-Y comparison is done, then nation’s flat steel exports reported a downfall of 14% in Nov’16 against 0.81 MnT in Oct’16.
During the period of Jan-Nov’2016, Russian flat steel exports rose significantly by 7% to 8.26 MnT as compared to 7.72 MnT in similar time period of previous year.
Grade-wise Exports:
If grade-wise analysis is made, then 7208 exports have increased by 7% in Nov’16 against Oct’16 whereas 7209 surged by 54% in Nov’16 against previous month. Although other grades exports like 7225,7212 and 7210 declined in Nov’16 as compared to Oct’16 .

Major Flat steel Importers From Russia in Nov’16
Turkey was the major importer of Russia and has shipped 2,49,552 tonne in Nov16 against 83,634 tonne in Oct16.Other major countries include Iran, Poland followed by Latvia and Germany.
