Russian steel and mining company with a global presence, Evraz has recorded a decline in net crude steel production in Q1 CY21, while projections for Q2 are upbeat. Major performance highlights:
- The company produced 3.4 mn t of crude steel in Q1 CY21 down from 3.6 mn t in same period last year. Crude steel output was down 1.7% q-o-q.
- Sales amounted to 3.1 mn t, down 4.8% on year and a decline of 9.9% q-o-q.
- Coking coal production in Q1 rose 14% on year to 6.5 mn t, while sales of iron ore products fell by 12% on year.
