Russia: EVRAZ to set up casting and rolling mill in Kuzbass region

Russia’s Evraz Group has signed an agreement of cooperation with the government of Kemerovo region (home to the Kuzbass coal basin) to set up a new casting and rolling mill (CRM) at Evraz ZSMK, as per latest reports. The mill is capable of producing 2.5 mn t of hot-rolled flat steel per annum in the size range of 0.8-16 mm. The project is expected to be launched in 2025.
