The medium & small mills in Maharashtra & Gujarat – West India have sharply increased rebar offers by INR 300-500/MT (USD 4-8) day on day & INR 800-1,000/MT (USD 12-15) in a week duration following improved trade activities.
According to SteelMint daily price assessment the re-bar offers for 12 mm in Maharashtra (Jalna) stood at INR 30,000-30,200/MT & in Gujarat (Ahmedabad) at INR 30,000-30,500/MT, basic prices & excluding GST.
“Demand is in a recovery mode and market response has been supported since a week time” stated by a rebar manufacturer from Jalna who’s monthly rebar production near to 25,000-30,000 MT.
Further the offers in rest of markets also on increasing mode and are evaluated at INR 29,600-30,000/MT (+100) ex-Raipur, INR 30,700-31,000/MT (+350) ex-Hyderabad, INR 30,500-30,900/MT (+100) ex-Durgapur & INR 33,600-34,000/MT (+200) ex-Delhi, excluding GST. The prices for 12 mm rebar and the changes are mentioned on daily basis.
Offers by Manufacturers – 12 mm
1. Jalna, Maharashtra based Kalika Steel Alloys has offered rebars at INR 30,200/MT. Since start of week the offers surge by INR 500-700/MT. According to the manufacturer demand is majorly from neighboring states and local market as well.
2. Rudra Steels in Gujarat (Ahmedabad) offers rebars at INR 37,700/MT FOR & including GST at 18%.
3. Shakti Ferro, one of the renowned producer in South India – Chennai has offered rebars at INR 31,000/MT ex-plant & excluding GST.
4. GK TMT in Raipur- Central India has offer rebars at INR 31,300/MT ex-plant & excluding GST.
5. Rathi Steels in Delhi has offered rebars at INR 33,700-33,800/MT FOR & excluding GST.
6. The large scale producers (SAIL and JSW Steel) are majorly dealing in Semis products with global buyers and are packed with advance bookings. It seems that the producers may further increase or roll over long steel offers for rest of Nov’17 deliveries. The current rebar offers are heard at around INR 33,500-34,500/MT ex-works, Mumbai.
