Re-bar price at Chennai increase by Rs 1,000/MT to Rs 43,500/MT (Including ED) in last two days on account of high ingot prices. Whereas, offers remain unchanged at Goa because of high ingot prices and some demand from Karnataka, being traded at Rs 37,000/MT (Basic price).
“Re-bar price at Ahmedabad is anticipated to move up by by Rs 500/MT in few days due to good demand of around 200-250 tons on regular basis”, said a manufacturer at Ahmedabad. Another manufacturer at Indore said that demand in local market seems good and confirmed about 800 tons of bookings that was placed in a week’s time.
Re-bar prices remain same at Durgapur, Kutch, Pune and Hyderabad.
