Raipur sponge iron prices rise, over 7,500 t deals concluded

SteelMint’s price assessment for sponge P-DRI (FeM 80%) in Raipur rose by INR 150/t to INR 32,600/t exw.
Around 5,200 t of FeM 80% P-DRI deals were concluded at INR 32,500-32,600/t exw-Raipur, while around 2,400 t were sold by Odisha and Raigarh-based plants to Raipur.
The rise in billet prices (by INR 650/t, d-o-d, in Raipur) has boosted sponge iron demand and prices, SteelMint notes.
