Raipur sponge iron prices jump INR 1,000/t on active demand

SteelMint’s price assessment for sponge P-DRI (FeM 80%) in Raipur rose by INR 1,000/t to INR 33,600/t exw.
Around 5,700 t of FeM 78-80% P-DRI deals were concluded at INR 33,300-33,700/t on exw and DAP Raipur basis by Raipur- and Odisha-based plants.
The price rise was supported by the rally in billet prices (by INR 1,050/t, d-o-d, in Raipur) and active demand with inching up of South African coal prices.
