Raipur sponge iron prices hit a two-month high on tight supplies

SteelMint’s price assessment for sponge P-DRI (FeM 80%) in Raipur rose by INR 700/t to INR 35,500/t exw today.
About 4,000 t of FeM 80% P-DRI deals were reported at INR 35,400-35,600/t on exw and DAP Raipur basis. 3,700 t of FeM 78% P-DRI from Odisha-based plants were sold at INR 34,900-35,300/t DAP Raipur.
Prices remained strong on seasonal short supply and continued active demand on rising billet prices.
