With resumption in spot steel trade activities in few major markets in India, SteelMint is resuming price assessments from today (1st May’20) onwards on a daily basis for Rebars, Wire rod, Structures & ERW Pipes. The prices will be updated by 14:00 IST. Simultaneously as trades pick up, frequency of price updates will be increased gradually in line with publishing schedule.
Limited Finished steel trades are taking place as few secondary major mills have re-started operations in particular markets, while standalone re-rollers are still aiming to clear previous stock, followed by which they are planning to resume operations.
However Semi finished steel price assessments are still on hold and will be resumed as soon as firm market indications arise.
