Coking coal prices in spot market have declined for the eleventh consecutive week as not much trades took place in the Asia market. Market has remained weak for quite sometime as very few offers have exchanged hands over the last few weeks.
Price for Premium Low Vol HCC is at $140.50/MT(FOB Australia) down by $3.50/MT from last change. HCC Mid-Vol is at $124.50/MT(FOB) down by $4/MT from the previous price and that of Premium HCC is at $148.70/MT(FOB). However, a slight increase in the freight charges has cushioned the fall in FOB prices. Also, liquidity in coking coal may look up considering the expected pick in trades and offers.
A buyer from India reported to have offers from Mozambique for HCC Mid Vol at $150/MT (CFR India).
