POSCO has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Krakatau Steel to jointly invest JPY 470 billion ($3.54 billion), of which JPY 100 million will be invested to build blast furnace No. 2 and a cold rolling mill for POSCO. In addition, Krakatau Steel has plans to invest in POSCO’s hot-rolled mill which has commenced operations last year.
