Poland’s leading coking coal producer reduces coke plant operating capacity after blast

Poland’s largest coking coal producer, Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa (JSW KOKS), said that its coking plant Przyjazn is being operated at only 25% capacity after a blast on 22 Sep’22. The plant houses four out of JSW KOKS’s six coke ovens and accounts for three fourth of the company’s total coke production. In H12022, the company produced a total of 1.8 mnt of coke.
