Pig Iron production on hold by few of the Chinese steel mills

Pig Iron buying in domestic market of China has not improved as few of the steel mills continue to hold operations.

Buyers are making limited purchases of the semi finished material.

Since the start of this year, trades in domestic Pig Iron market has not been good in China.

Offers have been fluctuating, following the price trend of other steel products and raw materials in particular.

Pig Iron prices in Tangshan is being quoted at RMB 2,800/MT (Ex works prices including 17% VAT on cash payment basis).
