Pig Iron demand is stagnant along with offers on falling steel prices.
Freight charges for Pig Iron across the country reduces in the range of Rs 200-400/MT, by around 10%.
“We are producing 2,500 tons of extra Pig Iron because buying volumes at lower prices is good”, said a Rourkela based market participant.
“There might be some pressure on Pig Iron supply and marginal fluctuation in offers this month because of low demand from automobile industry and end user”, shared market participants..
