“Pig Iron prices might stabilize for sometime now. Demand is decent at around 500 to 600 tons of daily sales”, said Mr Ashok Singh, Additional GM at Jayaswal Neco, Raipur.
“Pig Iron plants at Durgapur are able to sell around 300 to 400 tons daily and 10,000 to 12,000 tons on a monthly basis. Production is fine and offers are expected to be firm in near future”, shared a trader.
A senior official at a private company in Chennai said, “we are able to sell 12,000 tons of Pig Iron (30 % steel grade and 70% foundry grade) every month and a daily of 400 tons.
