Pig Iron exports from Brazil have reduced during the end of the year on account of weakening demand from other countries, low bids being fetched and due to high cost of logistics.
Exports of Pig Iron from Brazil drop by 25% to 222,262 mt in November this year as compared to a total of 222,343 mt in the same month last year. In October 12, Brazilian producers exported 286,853 mt of Pig Iron.
The average exports prices slipped to $401/MT FOB Brazilian Port in November 12, which was at $419/MT FOB in the month of October this year.
Out of the total exports from Brazil in November 12, US imports stands at 184,858 mt. US imported a total of 196,631 mt in November 11 and 203,876 mt in October 11 from Brazilian Pig Iron makers.
