Pig Iron Export by Major Nations around the World – Jul’16

With the recent release of trade data by Major Pig Iron Exporting nations, it is distinct that the export was down by 36% M-o-M and by 14% Y-o-Y. Exporting nations include Russia, Brazil, South Africa and India. Collectively, the major exporters of Pig Iron exported around 0.51 MnT during Jul’16, exports during Jun’16 was around 0.80 MnT and during Jul’15, exports was around 0.59 MnT.

Russia Pig Iron Export falls by 63% during Jul’16
Russia, one of the largest exporter of Pig Iron registered a downfall of 63% M-o-M. The nation exported around 0.23 MnT during Jul’16. Major exporting destinations for the nation during Jul’16 were USA (0.14 MnT), Taiwan (0.03 MnT), Italy (0.01 MnT), Spain (0.01 MnT), Belarus (0.01 MnT) and Poland (0.01 MnT).
The nation exported 0.63 MnT during Jun’16 and 0.36 MnT during Jul’15.

Export from Brazil increases by 67% during July M-o-M
Brazil exported around 0.25 MnT Pig Iron during Jul’16, registered a growth of 67% M-o-M and 32% Y-o-Y. Export during Jun’16 was around 0.15 MnT and around 0.19 MnT during Jul’15 . Major exporting destinations for Brazil were USA (0.08 MnT), Thailand (0.05 MnT), Mexico (0.05 MnT), Netherlands (0.05 MnT) and Italy (0.01 MnT).

Export from South Africa falls by 50% M-o-M
South Africa exported around 0.01 MnT Pig Iron during Jul’16, registered a downfall of 50% M-o-M and by 75% Y-o-Y. The nation exported around 0.02 MnT during Jun’16 and 0.04 MnT during Jul’15. Major exporting destination for South Africa was the Netherland with export quantity of 0.01 MnT.

India exported around 0.02 MnT during Jul’16. A very nominal quantity of Pig Iron was exported during Jun’16 and Jul’15. Major destination for Indian export was Bangladesh during Jul’16.
