Petcoke Import Offers Rise by USD 4/MT on Stronger Demand

Petcoke prices in India have remained stable, despite demand strengthening from almost all the user-industries.

Increasing demand has also impacted the import offers.

The latest import offer for Petcoke (9% Sulphur) from USA is assessed higher at USD 94/MT CFR India, which is up by USD 4/MT than that assessed a week ago.

However, the recent offer for Petcoke (9% Sulphur) from Saudi Arabia is assessed unmoved at USD 87/MT CFR India.

The prices in India have, however, stagnated at the rates revised last.

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), the largest producer in the country, has retained its ex-works price at INR 6,350/MT; and Essar, the second largest producer, kept its price unchanged at INR 6,340/MT.

In the coming days, imports are likely to increase as cement manufacturers have begun procuring actively.
