- One of the world’s largest copper producers, Southern Copper Corporation (SCC), has reported copper production at 214,480 t in Q1CY’22, a decrease of 10% from 238,311 t in Q1CY’21 due to stoppage of operations at the Cuajone mine.
- However, SCC posted a 9.1% increase in sales to $2,763.8 million in Q1CY’22 compared with the year-ago period due to higher metals prices.
