PELLEX moved down by INR 250/MT to INR 5,700/wmt (DAP Raipur) for this publishing window owing to the recent decline in NMDC iron ore prices. However, no deal has been concluded so far by Raipur based pellet makers in this publishing window.
Pellet offers stable-:
— Raipur based pellet makers kept the offers stable at INR 5,800-5,900/MT (Ex-plant); normalizing for freight to Raipur at INR 5,950-6,050/MT (DAP Raipur).
— Raigarh based pellet maker offers stable at INR 5,400-5,500 (Ex-plant) this week. One of the major pellet makers was not offering pellets owing to lack of material availability.
— Jharsuguda based pellet maker is keeping INR 5,200/MT (Ex-plant).
Pellet deals from other regions-:
— Jharsuguda based pellet maker also sold around 8,000-10,000 MT pellets to Raigarh at INR 5,200/MT (Ex-plant) normalizing for freight to Raipur at INR 5,800-5,900/MT (DAP Raipur).
— Jamshedpur based pellet makers sold around 7,000 MT pellets at INR 5,200/MT (Ex-plant) in a recent deal.
— Bellary (Karnataka) based pellet makers have sold around 20,000 MT pellets in the local market at around INR 6,000-6,400/MT (Ex-plant) this week.
No pellet export deal was concluded in this publishing window. However, SteelMint assessment for Fe 64% grade pellets with 3% Al stands at around USD 100-102/MT, CFR China.
