Pakistan’s thermal coal imports decline by 21% m-o-m in Nov’24

In Nov’24, Pakistan’s thermal coal imports dropped by 21% to 0.73 mnt from 0.92 mnt in Oct’24. However, on a y-o-y basis, imports increased by 18% against 0.62 mnt in Nov’23. South Africa was the leading supplier with 0.28 mnt, up from 0.18 mnt in Oct’24, followed by Indonesia with 0.17 mnt, down 42% m-o-m. Additionally, the US supplied 0.13 mnt.
