- South Asia’s leading ferrous scrap importer, Pakistan, has recorded an increase in monthly ferrous scrap imports by 7% in Jun’21, while imports rose by 3%, y-o-y.
- The country’s scrap imports stood at 0.29 mn t in Jun against 0.27 mn t in the preceding month, as per data furnished by Lange Steel.
- Mills started re-stocking scrap post Eid holidays which resulted in an increase in imports.
