Major Pakistani steel mills such as International Steels Limited (ISL), Aisha Steel Mills Limited (ASML) and Hadeed Pakistan Private Limited (HP) have announced a price hike of PKR 5,000/t ($25/t) for cold-rolled coil (CRC) and coated flat steel products, effective 19 May’22. This is the first price revision in May. The steep currency depreciation and higher inflation rates have resulted in mills raising offers.
