A major steel mill based in the southern part of Pakistan has reportedly booked 7,000 tonnes (t) of hot-rolled coil (HRC) from South Korea, SteelMint learnt from sources based in Pakistan. The deal was concluded towards the end of last week at $940/t on CFR basis for Dec’21 delivery.
Pakistan’s bulk HRC import shipments for Sept’21 declined by 45% to 58,163 t contrasted against 1,06,277 t a month ago, as per the data maintained with SteelMint.
