Pakistan: Shredded scrap import prices range-bound, UAE deals reported

Imported scrap prices remained stable in Pakistan towards the closing of this week due to the ongoing Ramadan month.
SteelMint’s assessment of shredded scrap import prices into Pakistan stands at $650/t CFR, stable d-o-d.
However, a few deals of around 1,200 t of UAE-origin HMS 1 in containers was booked at $615/t CFR Qasim. Offers for the same stand at $610-620/t CFR, respectively.
