Pakistan: Non-coking coal imports drop around 30% m-o-m in Aug’25

Pakistan’s non-coking coal imports declined 29.9% m-o-m to 0.90 mnt in Aug’25 from 1.28 mnt in Jul’25. Y-o-y, imports increased by 56.1% against 0.57 mnt in Aug’24. South Africa remained the leading supplier, with 0.45 mnt, down by 31.3% from 0.65 mnt in Jul’25, followed by Indonesia with 0.17 mnt. Additionally, Mozambique and the US contributed 0.17 mnt.
