Pakistan: Major steel mill books 5,500 t of imported ferrous scrap

  • Around 5,500 t of UK/EU-origin shredded scrap in containers was booked at $620-625/t CFR Qasim recently.
  • SteelMint’s assessment for shredded scrap import prices into Pakistan stands at $632/t CFR, stable d-o-d.
  • However, suppliers are quoting fresh offers for shredded material at $630-635/t CFR.
