Pakistan: International Steels to expand CRC production capacity to 1.12 mn t

Pakistani steel producer International Steels is investing $7.85 million to expand its production capacity of cold-rolled coils and sheets to 1.12 mn t from the current 1 mn t per annum, SteelMint has learnt from recent reports. In 2020, the company’s steel production plunged to 412,000 t against 555,000 t in the preceding year. Together with other producers, the company has requested the Pakistani government to launch anti-dumping investigations into dumping of CRC by the EU, South Korea, Taipei and Vietnam.
