Imported scrap prices in Pakistan have moved down by about USD 10/MT against the previous assessment made earlier this week. In the latest deals reported in containers, around 3000-4000 MT Shredded scrap from USA is heard to have sold in the range of USD 367-370/MT, CFR Pakistan levels.
Few deals for Shredded scrap were also heard to have concluded at USD 365/MT, CFR Pakistan.
Earlier this week, SteelMint reported Shredded scrap offers from USA to Pakistan were in the range of USD 375-380/MT, CFR.
Trade sources mentioned that weakening scrap prices in global market have resulted in falling offers for Pakistan as well.
Turkey: Imported Scrap Prices Move down sharply
Imported ferrous scrap prices in Turkey have declined sharply by around USD 10/MT W-o-W on fallind billet prices. Billet offers in Turkey have moved down amid weak demand. Billet export offers from Turkey have come down to USD 540-545/MT, FoB compared to last week’s assessment of USD 545-550/MT.
In line with fall in billet offers, rebar offers have also shown downturn by USD 10-15/MT W-o-W.
Assessment for US origin HMS (80:20) is currently in the range of USD 360-365/MT, CFR Turkey which was USD 375/MT, CFR a week ago.
In a recent deal reported, BST- sold cargo to a Samsun-based mill Yesilyurt consisting of 15,000 MT HMS (75:25), 11,000 MT PS/HMS1, 6000 MT Shredded and 4000 MT NC at an average cargo price of USD 358/MT,CFR Turkey for March.
