Pakistan’s Gadani ship breaking yard in Balochistan has decided to suspend operations from 6 May to 18 May ’21 to supply oxygen gas for medical use. Keeping in view the increasing demand of oxygen gas in health sector, the Gadani yard will divert 30 tonnes of oxygen per day to healthcare, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) notified. Domestic scrap prices in Pakistan are likely to rise further on supply tightness, sources told SteelMint.
