- In Apr’24, Pakistan imported 182,675 t of ferrous scrap, marking a sharp drop of 28% compared with Mar’s 252,982 t.
- Compared to the same period last year, imports were higher by 110% from 87,000 t in Apr’23.
- However, over the first four months of this calendar year, scrap imports into Pakistan rose by 54% y-o-y, totalling 912,356 t as compared to 591,500 t in Jan-Apr’23.
