Pakistan: Bulk HRC import shipments decline by 37%, m-o-m, in July

Bulk hot-rolled coil (HRC) import shipments into Pakistan dropped by 37% to 49,039 t in Jul’22 as against 77,856 t in Jun’22. Imports from Japan accounted for 29,233 t, while the rest came from Turkey. The volumes have dropped about 13.3% y-o-y from 56,590 t in Jul’21. Domestic market demand declined amidst political instability and issues around opening of Line of Credits (LCs).
