Indian Pig iron exporters concluded deal for 120,000 tons of material with overseas buyers in January.
A senior official at a Pig iron trading company named Prime Carbon GmbH (Switzerland) said, “It might take some more time for international Pig iron market to meet with improvement.
In Malaysia, steel mills have started their own blast furnaces.
Whereas, a couple of mills in Thailand are uninterested to import looking at rising cost of input and slow down in sales of finished products.
I don't think importers would bid high for Indian exports tender in the week to come”.
