As per Industry expert and insight from the Department of Steel and Mines, Orissa. Minning offices across sector are set to begin a new License policy from Mid of September.
Under new policy, License will be allotted with 16 digit code falling under individual identity to Exporter (T1), Trader (T2), Mineral Based Industry (M1-M3), Processing Unit like Crusher (C1-C2), Beneficiation plant (B1-B2) Storage Depo (S1-S7).
As per conversation with senior minning officer in Joda, “Trader will be allowed to procure the material and sell to either manufacturer or to exporter; however they cannot sell to trader again”. He also mentioned “We have made an online system for all licensee holder which will ease the cross checking of return and hassle free delivery of permission to procure.”
