Base metals prices trended downwards in morning trade today with zinc prices contracting more than 2%. However, nickel prices rose nearly 2% today. Base metals stocks have trended lower. Notably, copper stocks fell almost 4%, equivalent to 5,450 t. The key domestic players Hindalco and Balco reduced aluminium ingots prices today.
