Indian merchant chrome ore miner, OMC will conduct auction for 35,100t regular grade (more than 40% Cr2O3) and 100,000t sub-grade chrome ore (less than 40% Cr2O3) on 11th Jan 2021. The base price is yet to be declared, however, an increase by 5-6% is expected from the base price of previous month’s auction. The ferrochrome price is rising and has provided an opportunity to the miner to increase the base price.
