OMC to Auction 49,040 MT Chrome Ore on 3 July’17

For the next round of chrome ore e-auction which are going to be held on 3 July’17 at 14:00 hrs (IST), the Odisha government owned miner, Odisha Mining Corporation Limited (OMC) has offered total 49,040 MT friable chrome ore.

The company has offered the material of quantity 30,200 MT from South Kalapani chromite mines, 2,300 MT from kaliapani mines and 16,540 MT from Bangur Mines.

As per the specification, Cr2O3 in the material shall be between 32% to 56%.

The delivery period of the material is 30 days from the date of contract issued.

The bid value quoted by the bidder should be the basic price in rupees per WMT (Wet Materic Ton) for the mineral inclusive of royalty and exclusive of cess and other statutory duties and levies etc applicable at the time of suppliers will be extra and payable by the successful bidder.

  2. Indian Ferro Chrome price is rising again as Chinese buyers returned to the market with renewed buying interest.
  3. South African Chrome Ore prices have risen significantly, and deals were concluded in the range of USD 160-165/MT CIF China.
  4. Higher cost of Ferro Chrome production in China is leading to strengthening in demand for Indian-origin Ferro Chrome.
