For the next round of chrome ore e-auction which will be held on 5 July’18, the Odisha government owned miner OMC has offered a total of 35,537 MT chrome ore. Out of which 32,300 MT are friable ore, 2,820 MT hard lump and 237 MT are concentrate.
The company has offered the material of quantity 28,200 MT from South Kalapani chromite mines, 4,100 MT from Sukrangi Chromite Mines, 237 MT from COBP Kaliapani and 2,820 MT from Bangur Mines.
The bid value coated shall be the basic price in rupees per WMT (Wet Metric Ton) for the mineral inclusive of royalty and exclusive of cess and other statutory duties and levies etc applicable at the time of suppliers will be extra and payable by the successful bidder

Indian Ferro Chrome Market Scenario:
Indian producers of HC Ferro Chrome have raised offers in the domestic market owing to the weakened Rupee (Indian Rupee fell to an all-time low of 69/USD); making exports a more lucrative option for the manufacturers. The mainstream domestic price of HC Ferro Chrome 60% min. is at around INR 85,000 /MT Ex-Works basis.
