Bhubaneswar: The Odisha mining Corporation (OMC) will conduct its Chrome Ore e-auction on 6th of January, 2014 for sale of 73,300 tonnes of Friable Chrome Ore of different grades. Similarly 6,000 tonnes of concentrate Chrome Ore will be put on sale in this e-auction.
The base price of 54+ friable Chrome Ore concentrate has been fixed at INR 11,964 and for 52-54 the base price is INR 11,521.
The base price of 40-38 grade concentrate Chrome Ore has been fixed at INR 7,623 and for 44-42 grade it is fixed at INR 8,385.
It may be noted that friable Chrome Ore prices had dropped by almost 33% for the outside-state Odisha buyers in the e-auction held on 3rd December.
Chrome Ore price of 54+ grade for the outside-state buyers had come down to INR 12,745 at the South Kaliapani mines. On the other hand price for the same grade for the inside-state buyers it has remain almost unchanged (dropped only 2.8%)
There were 39,300 tonnes of Chrome Ore reserved for the inside-state buyers and 16,900 tons for the outsiders. On the other hand there were 9,800 tonnes of Chrome concentrate available for auction.
