Mining Corporation (OMC) will start a fresh round of e-auction for Chrome ore
concentrates tomorrow i.e. 7th March. This time 20,000 tons of
chrome ore concentrate of 38-40 grade from its Kaliapani Beneficiation plant is
on offer.
In the last
e-auction for different grades of chrome ore friable and concentrate, held on
16th February, OMC had fetched record price owing to stop in
production by other merchant chrome miners and rise of ferrochrome prices at
the international market. The 54+ grade friable chrome ore of South Kaliapani
mines had fetched a price of Rs 17,073, a rise of 54% against the last e-auction
price of Rs 11,087 held in December 24th. The 38-40 grade has fetched
H1 price of Rs 7,447 in this round of e-auction.
