For the e-auction held on 26 Sept’16, OMC has offered 64,240 MT chrome ore. Out of this 49,740, MT was friable ore, 2,400 MT were concentrate, and 8,250 hard lumps and 3,850 chips and fines.
The company has offered 42,000 MT material from South Kalapani Chromite Mines, 12,140 MT material from Bangur Mines, 7,500 MT from Sukrangi Chromite Mines, and 2,400 MT from COBP Kalapani.
According to market sources, the company received a good response in the e-auction. Most of the lots offered received bids. For Fe 48-50% material, bid price received were higher by 17% as compared to base prices. The floor prices for Fe 48-50% was at INR 7,568/MT and bids received were around INR 9,000/MT. On similar lines, Fe 52-54% material also fetched higher bids than base prices. However, the lot of Fe 52% Chrome ore only received a lukewarm response.
