For the next round of chrome ore e-auction which will be held on 1 Jun’16, the Odisha government owned miner OMC has offered a total of 52,800 MT chrome ore. Out of this 47,700 MT are friable ore and rest 5,100 MT are concentrate.
Like the previous round of chrome ore e-auction, which was held in Apr’16 OMC had kept base prices unchanged for some of the grades. The +54 grade chrome ore base price remains at INR 8,982. Similarly, the base price of grades like 52-54, 46-48, 44-46 have also been kept unchanged at INR 8,649, INR 6,127 and INR 5,861 respectively.
But the base price of 48-50 grade has been reduced to INR 6,394 from INR 7,235 in April. On the other hand the base prices of chrome concentrate have also been kept unchanged.
