Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) will conduct two e-auctions of friable chrome ore and chrome concentrate on 4 Sept’15.
MSTC is conducting two online auctions on behalf of Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) for 20,700 MT friable chrome ore and 600 MT chrome ore concentrate on 4Sept’15. Material is available in different lots at its mines and COB (chrome ore beneficiation) plant. The material is available for Odisha based as well as outside-state based buyers.
Bids will be accepted in INR per MT, which will be inclusive of royalty, and exclusive of cess, statutory duties & levies. Also, the minimum quantity that can be quoted is 100 MT. Further, quotes must be in multiples of 100 MT. Last date for bid submission is 4Sep’15 at 11.00 hrs and bids will open on 4 Sep’15 at 13.00 hrs.
The last chrome ore e-auction was held on 31July’15, in which prices were reduced across all grades. Chrome ore prices are expected to remain low in the coming months also. Grant of mining lease extension to Tata’s Sukinda chrome mines with merchant status is a significant development in this regard, as it would increase chrome ore availability in the market in the coming months.
