BHUBANESWAR: After lots of deliberations, Odisha government has finally decided to initiate the mines auction process by the end of this month. The government will notify auction of 10 non-coal mineral blocks by the end of this month and the auction will be held in December.
“We have decided to notify the auction by end of this month and auctions will be held in December for 10 mineral blocks. Out of these 3 iron ore blocks, 5 Manganese blocks and one lime stone and one Bauxite block” said Odisha mines minister Prafulla Malick.
Initially Odisha had decided to auction 12 mineral blocks, but now it has decided to drop two mines Khandadhar and Mankadnacha from the list.
The auctions will be conducted through MSTC and SBI capital will be the transaction advisor.
