SteelMint’s price assessment for sponge iron in Rourkela stands at INR 35,150/t on 25 Oct’21. Around 2,800 t of C-DRI (70:30 mix material) deals were confirmed in the range of INR 35,000-35,200/t exw. Sources reported that steel billet prices rose by INR 300/t, d-o-d, which kept sponge iron prices supported.
