Odisha: Serajuddin Mines Iron Ore Dispatches Up in FY19

Odisha’s merchant iron ore miner -Serajuddin recorded iron ore production at 7.75 MnT, up 3% against 7.51 MnT in FY’18. The miner recorded an increase in monthly production from the past few months as it has started operations at another pit which was closed for quite some time owing to the technical issue. The miner had ramped up production and hit 1 MnT mark of production in Jan’19.

Serajuddin mine produces around 10 MnT iron ore annually and has an EC limit of 15.15 MnT p.a.

Rungta Mines, India’s largest private merchant miner, dispatched the iron ore at 19.22 MnT in FY’19. The dispatch recorded drop by 8% Y-o-Y against 20.90 MnT in FY’18.

KJS Ahluwalia recorded 21% drop in dispatches at 5.61 MnT in FY’19 as against 7.07 MnT in FY18.

Essel Mining depicted increased dispatches for the year at 5.54 MnT, up significantly by 85% as compared to 3 MnT in FY18. The miner resumed operations at its Jilling Langalota mines after it received permission from Supreme Court in Feb’18.

RP Sao dispatches witnessed at 3.67 MnT as against being nil in previous fiscal. RP Sao resumed iron ore dispatches from its mines towards May 18. The miner resumed operations after about 2.5 years as it was last seen offering material in the merchant market towards the end of 2015. The iron ore mine has EC limit of around 5.7 MnT p.a. and is situated in Guali, Joda.

Odisha- India’s largest iron ore producing state recorded rise in total iron ore dispatches at 65.27 MnT in FY’19, as against 64.63 MnT in FY18. The figures exclude movement for export and dispatches of miners- SAIL, OMC & Tata Steel.
