Iron Ore Mines in Odisha

Odisha Miners to Take a Call on Price Post DMF Implementation

Iron ore prices in Odisha continue to remain stable as of now. However in talk with the miners, SteelMint received mixed response.

Some miners shared that there are less chances of price revision in the first half of this month as the market has again retreated back in past few days. C-DRI price in Rourkela is down by INR 150/MT W-o-W at INR 11,550/MT (ex-works) for 80 FeM.

While some miners indicated that notification of collection of District Mineral Foundation Fund (DMF) by Odisha govt. may lead to increase in prices by INR 150-200/MT.

Also market sources shared that some miner was asking buyers to pay additional amount for the increased royalty in iron ore as per the latest IBM price list. Royalty on iron ore lump (Fe 65% & above) was earlier at INR 365.1/MT which has now gone up to INR 526.2/MT in the latest released price list.
