KJS Ahluwalia, Odisha based merchant miner with an annual production of around 4-5 MnT has raised Iron Ore prices upto INR 300/MT owing to rising steel prices.
Despite big miners like Rungta, Essel and Indrani Patnaik have kept their offers unchanged for the month of May, KJS Ahluwalia has raised prices by INR 300/MT on lumps and INR 100/MT on fines looking at rising Sponge iron prices.
Current offers are at
5-18mm (63% Fe) = INR 5,000/MT
10-30mm (61% Fe)= INR 4,100/MT
Fines (63% Fe)= INR 2,100/MT
Prices on Ex-Mines Basis, Incld Royalty
Additional INR 500/MT for F.O.R Siding
Sponge Iron Prices
Sponge Iron prices in Indian spot market has surged sharply by INR 1,000-1,500/MT (USD 16-24) owing to fear that Supreme Court may put 26 mines running second deemed renewal on a halt. Current prices are hovering in the range of INR 20,000-22,500/MT (USD 330-375) on ex-works basis.
